Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue work usually focuses on one or two problem areas of the body. Specific techniques that focus on individual muscles are used to try to relieve the knots and tension within that muscle or group of muscles. This is not a light and fluffy massage by any means! Deep tissue work means BUSINESS.

Often times Sports Massage techniques will be used or any technique that will get to the heart of the matter and relieve the problems. Deep Tissue Massage is not necessarily painful, but can be intense if there are active trigger points or hypertonic muscles. There are less invasive techniques that can be used in some instances.

A good deep tissue massage will loosen muscles held by chronic tension. You will find a freedom of movement and relief from pain that you had forgotten was possible.
